Rising Stars: Meet Casey Paulk of East Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Paulk

Hi Casey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Orlando from Riviera Beach, FL back in 2002 to attend UCF. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice, I bounced around from job to job for years before deciding to start my own business. I chose pressure washing after working for a small lawn maintenance/home repair company who offered the service. I enjoyed the work so I did some research and started small before finally getting my LLC and officially launching my business. Between on-site experience and learning the trade through trainings, conferences and research I slowly built my business to a professional level. Besides obtaining official vendor status for the city of Orlando, I’m working towards becoming official with the county and state as well. For a while I was only able to obtain work on the residential level but around the time of Covid, I saw my business take off on the commercial level and now I get consistent work in both sectors.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Most of my difficulties have been between finding good help and finding the right customer both in regard to growing the business. I realized that in general no one is gonna care for your business as much as you are. With that in mind, one must be prepared to take on the heaviest of burdens while also properly vetting any help that one might need in the form of employees and/or business associates. As far as customers, it’s been hard getting them to see the value in the work and helping them to understand pressure washing/exterior cleaning is an actual trade when done at the professional level.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The work is very physically demanding and takes an eye for detail. I specialize in the exterior cleaning of homes, businesses and municipalities. I’m known for being personable and finding ways to relate to my customers with the goal of providing the correct services for their needs and building a lasting business relationship. I’m most proud of simply sticking with my business through tough times and believing in myself as well as the report I have built with long-time customers over the years. My attention to detail as well as my stellar customer service and transparency is what sets me and my company apart from others in the industry.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I have a few but being active in the martial arts and all the various memories accompanied around that time in my life stand out.

In particular, winning second place at a major tournament (the U.S. Open) here in Orlando around the time I was 14 stands out because of the pressure and how many other kids I had to compete against to get there. Although I didn’t win gold, the experience from climbing that particular bracket and the sheer number of eyes on me was something I never experienced before.

Pricing:

  • For most of my work I charge by the hour which is rare in my industry but ends up benefiting the customers as well as my business
