Hi Rosenicole, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My passion for photography began with my two rescue dogs, Max and Rufus. I started Max’s Instagram page back in 2021, and as the page grew, I became increasingly interested in improving the quality of their content. This led me to dive into research and practice, honing my photography skills with Max and Rufus. Over time, I expanded my work to include some of their Instagram doggie friends, which eventually inspired me to launch my own pet photography business. Also, working with pets brings me immense joy. I love working with them and treating them to a personalized “Me” time were they can be the stars.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, it has been. The biggest challenge has been increasing visibility for my business so potential clients can understand and see what I offer. Having a pre-existing presence on social media through Max and Rufus’s account has certainly been helpful, but being new to the photography field does make it more challenging to stand out, but I don’t let that get me down or in my head. I just focus on my work and continually moving forward to better myself and the business. I’m also very grateful for the people who have been very supportive of my business so far.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is called Woof and Zoom, and it specializes in pet photography, with a particular focus on capturing the unique personalities and emotions of pets. I started this venture out of a deep love for my own dogs and a desire to provide heartfelt images that showcase the special bond between pets and their families.
What sets my business apart is the personalized approach I take with each session. I’m known for creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment for pets, which allows their true personalities to shine through in the photos. My main goal is to make sure that the pets are comfortable during their session and that I make it fun and engaging for them. My background with rescue dogs and fostering has also given me a unique perspective on how to work with animals who may be nervous or shy, ensuring that every pet feels comfortable and valued during their shoot.
I’m particularly proud of my recent initiative to assist animal rescues by offering professional photography services. This program aims to help dogs in shelters and rescues get noticed and adopted more quickly by providing them with high-quality, compelling images. It’s a cause that’s very close to my heart, and it highlights my commitment to making a positive impact in the animal community.
I want readers to know that my services are not just about taking pictures but about celebrating the bond between pets and their families. What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like the most is the amazing pet community that we have in Orlando/Central Florida. It’s very welcoming. I also appreciate the abundance of parks and green spaces, which are perfect for outdoor activities and capturing beautiful pet photography shots.
What I like least about Orlando/Central Florida is the unpredictable weather. The frequent afternoon thunderstorms and high humidity can sometimes make outdoor sessions challenging. However, despite this occasional inconvenience, the city’s many positives far outweigh any drawbacks, and I’m grateful for the lively and supportive environment Orlando offers.
