Today we’d like to introduce you to Luis Castro
Hi Luis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began mine studies in Okinawa Goju ryu Karatedo and Matayoshi kobudo in Venezuela on September 1992 under organizations such as Jinbukai, Iogkf and Tmai. Then in December 1999 i developed my own Bushikan Karate and Kobudo project in Zulia state, also the State Karatedo School Project (Pekez) which integrated more than 500 students. In July 2011 i traveled to Argentina Buenos Aires and upon i returned how the founder of Uechi ryu karatedo in Venezuela together to CNKI Argentina with Gustavo Gondra Hanshi. In June 2017 i traveled to the city of Orlando Florida to train and carry out new projects of Okinawa karatedo and kobudo then creating Okinawan Bushikan International (OBI) www.obikarate.org One of the programs carried out in Orlando Florida is Project Class Karate (PCK) where i have gave karatedo with my work team to Daycares, Vpks and Elementary schools. I likewise private, group and online classes (Obionline). I remain grateful to Orlando USA for the opportunities we have had and for meeting so many wonderful people. Thank you a lot!!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
All success involves setbacks, which makes the path as hard as a rock, which must be polished over the years, like martial arts, specifically Karatedo and Kobudo. The fruits are harvested over the years and they prepare and shape you for life and to continue growing with our projects. I say daily TRAINING, TRAININ AND DON’T STOP!

We specialize in TRADITIONALITY, we do Karate and Kobudo from Okinawa within the framework of training with Discipline, Respect, Self-defense, Intellectual and Spiritual. We do not do martial arts just for sports but as training and rescuing lost values that society has abandoned. We say Healthy Mind – Healthy Body. You can contact us if you want to introduce Karatedo in your company, no matter your business, we could make a Dojo there. The People know us for being serious and responsible professionals and carrying out the projects we carry out after several years of practice. We do M.A Fit (Martial Arts Fitness) this is our difference, training with music and martial arts for adults and children for weight loss and control of diseases that contaminate our society such as: Drugs, Alcohol, Diabetes and many more, we are proud of this system created and studied by us. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I have always liked to innovate, in fact I am still learning, I don’t like to follow the herd, our thought is: insist, persist and continue training and discovering new ways of teaching and training. Our interest is directed towards a world of health and good habits through martial arts.
