Daily Inspiration: Meet Sofia Corripio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofia Corripio

Hi Sofia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of making a positive impact on the world. Coming from a small town (I’m Latina), I always knew I wanted to conquer the world—travel, learn new things, and work for international brands. So, I made the bold decision to leave my country. I had the opportunity to work with brands like Mercedes Benz, Bose, and Nissan, knowing that was just the beginning. But deep down, I wanted to create something of my own, something that would allow me to truly shine. That’s when I ventured into entrepreneurship—not just once, but several times.

At the age of 23, a health issue completely changed the course of my life. I decided to focus on my well-being and educate myself on health. While studying to become a health coach, I had the chance to connect with other women, supporting them in building a better presence on social media. I had studied fashion design and taken several marketing courses, which gave me the tools to help these female entrepreneurs who wanted to spread their message of health through social media. What I never imagined was that this action would lead me to create my own business—Social Latina Co, my marketing agency, where I am passionate about helping my clients share their stories with the world.

None of this would have been possible without the support of my husband, Junior, who has always believed in me and my entrepreneurial spirit. This decision has allowed me to work with companies that are making positive contributions to the world. Social Latina Co has given me the opportunity to support others, but it has also pushed me to grow and challenge myself as a person. I feel happy and grateful for every step I’ve taken on this journey, and for all the growth that is still to come.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the obstacles I’ve faced as an immigrant have been that you need to work ten times harder than others. I came to this country just a few years ago, which meant building my network and everything else from scratch—even my education, since it’s so different from what I knew in my home country. But to be honest, the process has been nothing short of magnificent. As I mentioned before, I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for everything I’ve learned about myself along the way. Each challenge has made me stronger, and it’s through these experiences that I’ve grown both personally and professionally.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Part of what we do at my company is that we are experts in social media management. We understand brands deeply and bring their stories to life. I truly believe that every human being has something positive to offer the world. Just like with companies, social media isn’t about B2B or B2C—it’s about humans connecting with other humans. Once we truly understand that, that’s when the magic begins. Seeing our clients’ growth and being able to walk alongside them on this journey at every step is something that everyone at Social Latina Co. truly enjoys. It’s more than just business—it’s about creating meaningful connections and helping our clients shine.

What were you like growing up?
As a little kid, I was always incredibly curious. My family was very supportive, but life could be tough at times. Coming from a small town, people often had a very closed mindset, and that fueled my desire to want more for myself, to be more. By the age of 9, I started my first business selling bracelets to people, and by 12, I began working as a children’s party entertainer. By the time I was 15, I had made the decision to move to the U.S. to start a new life. I firmly believe that no matter how big your dreams are, it’s our responsibility to work hard and make them come true.
