But while working in the tech industry, I realized my true passion lay in using those skills to foster innovation and build stronger communities.
That realization inspired me to establish Cur8tive, a company that seamlessly blends technology and creativity to craft unforgettable experiences. As the proud owner of Salsa Fusion Brunch, Central Florida’s first-ever salsa brunch event, we bring together dance, music, art, and connection every week. Beyond this signature event, Cur8tive sponsors a variety of experiences across the city, helping to create spaces where people can connect, celebrate, and grow.
I’ve always believed that the magic of life happens in those moments of shared joy and connection. It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—like any journey worth taking, it’s been full of twists, turns, and lessons. There have been moments where events didn’t go as planned, when carefully crafted ideas didn’t resonate, or when attendees didn’t show up as expected. Those moments are tough because they make you question if you’re on the right path.
Another challenge has been facing competition from others who sometimes prioritize rivalry over collaboration. I’ve always believed in the power of working together to create something extraordinary, so it can be disheartening when that mindset isn’t shared. And, of course, there’s the ever-present doubt—sometimes external, sometimes internal—about whether you’re making the right decisions or moving in the right direction.
But through it all, I’ve learned to keep my vision at the forefront. As long as you stay truthful, steadfast, and believe in what you’re doing, you’ll find a way to make it work. Failure is inevitable, and I’ve certainly had my fair share of mistakes along the way. But I’ve come to see failure not as an endpoint, but as a necessary part of the process.
