Daily Inspiration: Meet Jerome Grant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerome Grant

Hi Jerome , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our Restaurant started in 2021, and I would have never dreamed I’ll have this restaurant in the first place, I grew up in the area so I know how impackful having and doing this kind of food and in the particular place it is, I wanted to give back to my home community especially to the younger generation as there is many schools close by that need the love and care I got when I was growing up, we started out with just me, my best friend and my cousin with a goal in to make a difference, we love food so we aslo wanted to share with the public our twist on doing grits and home made lemonade.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it was not smooth at all, something about being an African American trying to establish a business can be very challenging, but I believe the more we trust God what ever He promises us we will see it, so my faith hold tight to that, some of the struggles would have been getting our menu accross the community and the other close by areas even further, advertisement can be expensive especially for a young business, so social media and word of mouth is what we leaned on, but I would say the #1 struggle with owning and running a restaurant is the overhead/ cost of supplies.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Well I’m a business person, so you can say I specialize in many things but maining running business, I’m really known for excellent customer services… I’m proud of how far I came from where I started and the example I’m leaving for my children.. What set me apart from others… Hmm I’ll have to say my mindset, I believe this always a way and put the work in..

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see Breakfast bites and our lemonade especially being in major grocery strores in a few years.. We have many other changes happening soon but I can’t share that as yet..
