Lisa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started with a huge love for matcha and my kitchen. I made matcha for my friends and family that would visit me and from there, it went up. I would come up with fun new matcha creations and we all thought they were good enough to sell. After that, the rest just fell into place!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far, so good. Maybe when it comes to taking that leap of faith in starting a business, it gets scary! Business owners put a lot of time, money, and effort into what they are building. Once you take that first jump, it’s very rewarding to have your first event, your first sale, your first anything! You just need to plant your seeds correctly and the fruit will come.

Matcha Mami is a pop up cafe that specializes in craft ceremonial grade matcha beverages! We are proud to serve you the highest quality of matcha on the market and we put a lot of love into our rotating creations. We love to provide people with deliciously different matcha offerings. We typically will pop up at your favorite markets on the weekends, but we are not limited to just that. We would be elated for matcha lovers to book us for parties, weddings, etc!
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is creating a life where I can be happy. It’s natural to desire happiness—to feel joy and satisfaction in life and in what I’m doing. That sense of fulfillment guides me, reassuring me that I’m on the right path. My well-being is important, and I believe that when you take care of yourself and do the inner work, you can share that light with others.
