Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie And Ryan Music
Hi Jessie and Ryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We both had a passion for music at a young age and started singing and playing instruments early on. Ryan began playing guitar and singing at 13. Jessie began singing as a kid and started picking up guitar and piano as a teenager.
We met at Boone High School where we sang in chorus together. We remained friends but somehow never play music together until 12 years later when we had a spontaneous jam session. We began playing at as many open mics as we could and quickly expanded our horizons to playing gigs at local establishments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We were both solo musicians with different musical backgrounds and blending our musical style was tricky at first, but has since become its own unique sound. It has pushed us both to come out of our comfort zones and grow as musicians. Preforming in front of other people was intimidating at first but has helped us both gain confidence and make friends with similar interests. We are grateful to have the support from our families and friends who encourage and push us.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are an acoustic duo that plays a variety of music ranging from Taylor Swift, Billy Joel, Chris Stapleton, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, and more. We are known for layering intricate guitar parts over crisp vocals and harmonies. One thing that makes us unique is the different styles of music we play. We love to cover songs that people from all generations will recognize and enjoy. We’re most proud of the amount of success and traction we have received in such a short period of time.
