Life & Work with Sara Davila of Downtown Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Davila

Hi Sara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started creating content when I was in college. I always loved fashion and photography so I used to post my outfits to my Instagram. From there, my community started growing and brands started to reach out – it was all so exciting! Now, 5 years later, I am able to make this my career and my goal is to continue inspiring others trough fashion.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Before having my current account, I had a “personal” one and when I started posting there I received a lot of bullying from people who I thought were my friends. However, that pushed me to continue being my authentic self because people would talk wither way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Nowadays I share a little about everything, but my main focus is creating realistic cute outfits for the every day girl who still wants to feel confident. I am very proud of my content – I am not just taking pictures of outfits, I really want to create a story via images or video, connect with people and inspire them to look cute even when you don’t know how.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something people are the most surprised is that I am Venezuelan! LOL. For some reason people always think I’m from everywhere but they are surprised when they talk to me and realized how Latin I am, haha.
