Hi Sheernada, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am Sheernada V. The CEO of a beauty business known as Luxuriant Beauty LLC. Our business include constructing glue less custom made wigs and also selling beauty merchandises to enhance women beauty. I also have expanded and I’m also pursuing medical wigs for those who suffer from cancer, hair loss, trichotillomania, and alopecia. I am proud of how great I am impacting women while doing my passion.
I create wigs by hand using a sewing machine that are high quality and long lasting and great for women empowerment. My population involves women of all race however I am looking into construction of toupe for men. I am having a hard time scaling my business on a bigger platform to bring more awareness but I will continue working on it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s hard receiving funding for my business so everything is paid out of pocket by myself. Sometimes I even spend majority of my pay check from my 9-5 job in hopes of making a sale even though it is a risk. I have had some success but I have lost money as well. I learned different lessons and learned I definitely will work towards investing in a marketing coach that can provide strategic guidance. I have worked with mentors in the beauty industry and have invested in seminars so I do believe I have the knowledge on how to make better decisions.
As you know, we’re big fans of Luxuriant beauty LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

My business is still small and growing but has reached new accomplishments I was not expecting. I had the honor of being published on behalf of Voyage Miami article and I was interviewed which was amazing. I worked hard sometimes over night perfecting my craft.
I did have a client 2 years ago who I met she suffered from alopecia which was my first time encountering a client with such a sensitive condition. She was amazing and loved her wig. She shared her story and how it is hard for her to sleep without a wig with her significant other. She shared she was embarrassed with her hair loss and she was happy to have my wig save her while not causing tension when she sleeps with it out and easy maintenance. This is what my business is a lot about: self care and empowerment.
Any big plans?
I do want to continue investing in myself and hopefully this year collaborate with different people and brands to bring more awareness.
