Exploring Life & Business with Cassandra Obrien of Cooper Aesthetic Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Obrien

Hi Cassandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been a registered nurse practitioner since 2017. I started working in cardiology at AdventHealth. When I got pregnant with my son, I began training in aesthetics and started working outside of my house doing aesthetic procedures on friends and acquaintances. As my clientele grew, I started looking for an outside space and started Cooper Aesthetic Studio in September of last year!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I initially got my aesthetics training. It was very difficult to find a job because nobody wanted to hire a nurse practitioner with zero years of aesthetic experience. I really wanted to get my foot in the door and couldn’t find the opportunity to do so. This is why I ended up starting outside of my home because I figured if someone else couldn’t give me the experience I would get it myself. it was also difficult starting up my own business because I had never done it before. It was a big investment and a lot of hard work and research.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I own a medical spa and aesthetic studio. I’m a trained nurse practitioner and injector and I currently offer botulinum toxin treatments, lip filler, and medical weight loss. I think the aesthetic world in Orlando is small, even though the city is big. What sets me apart from other aesthetic businesses is competitive prices, flexible scheduling, and an open door policy. If my clients want to stop by for a treatment and bring their child along, I encourage it because I can empathize with the schedule of a working/busy parent! I also want my clients and future clients to know that I plan to continue growing, adding services, and keeping up-to-date on the latest technology.

How do you think about happiness?
Making other people happy! The aesthetics world is a great place to see others blossom in their confidence and it brings me so much joy. I also love to spend time with my family and travel!
