Hi Alejandro, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a deep passion for art and design, which ultimately led me to pursue a career as an architect. The journey wasn’t always easy as a first-generation immigrant, but through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, I achieved my goal of becoming a licensed architect.
Studio AM is a reflection of my love for travel, my appreciation for diverse cultures, and my commitment to creating meaningful architecture. I believe architects play a vital role in shaping people’s lives, whether by designing personal spaces that resonate with them or contributing to communal spaces that bring people together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the steep learning curve of running a business, which required skills that weren’t initially part of my toolkit. Balancing the roles of entrepreneur, business owner, architect, and my personal life has been equally demanding, teaching me the importance of setting boundaries, delegating, and staying organized. The biggest lessons I’ve learned is that plans can always change, and being adaptable is the key.

Studio AM Architects is a design-driven architectural firm. We are able to take on any type of project but specialize in residential project, mixed-use developments, assembly spaces, restaurants, and commercial offices
