Conversations with Dino Leto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dino Leto

Hi Dino , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been a lifelong comic book fan. Owning a variety of comic book related businesses for many years, the past 8 years we have concentrated on online back issue sales and comic book grading and authenticating. We have relationships with several comic book stores in the Tampa/Orlando area acting as pick and drop off points to better serve our customers. We provide all grading and authenticating services through the Certified Guaranty Corporation better known as CGC.

We travel the country and the world for that matter, setting up at comic book and pop culture shows providing any grading and signature witnessing any of the attendees may need done at those shows. We do mail-in submissions as well. Customers will send us book they want signed for creators and celebrities appearing at those shows.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are struggles in every business. The travel and time away from home and loved one’s is the hardest. Thank goodness we have built a culture of family in our business. We have a team that can lean on one another in the toughest of times. I could never do it without The Agents of Slabs family.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
It all starts with The Agents of Slabs. It is about the team of people I work with day in and day out. Their constant hard work and dedication is what makes the business successful. The name of the business is not “Dino of Slabs” or “Coach of Slabs” (Coach is my nickname. I was a high school football coach for 20 years.) It is the “Agents” of Slabs. They are what makes the company go.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I enjoy any podcast or books on coaching sports. There are many lessons you can take from that subject matter to help you in business and in life.
