Meet Lizi Gonzalez of Mobile Phlebotomy Professionals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizi Gonzalez

Hi Lizi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into Mobile Phlebotomy began at a young age. I was inspired by my mother, who navigated the healthcare system with grace and resilience. Watching her, I realized the impact that compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals can have on a person’s life. Encouraged by her, I decided to pursue a career in healthcare and enrolled in a phlebotomy program.

After completing my certification, I began working for a lab company, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience and truly learned the importance of patient care. Over time, I noticed a growing need for more convenient options for blood draws services that could be performed in the comfort of a patient’s home, workplace, or care facility. This inspired me to start Mobile Phlebotomy Professionals , a service dedicated to bringing high quality, compassionate, and professional care directly to patients where they need it most.

What began as a simple idea to fill a gap in the healthcare industry has grown into my passion and purpose. Today, I am proud to provide a service that not only meets a critical need but also offers a personal touch that makes healthcare more accessible and comfortable for patients. Through my work, I hope to continue making a difference, one blood draw at a time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to building Mobile Phlebotomy Professionals has not been entirely smooth. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was building trust with patients and healthcare providers. Mobile phlebotomy services were not as well-known or widely utilized when I started, so educating people about the benefits of this service required a lot of time and effort.

Another obstacle was navigating the logistical side of running a business managing scheduling, travel times, and ensuring I had all the necessary supplies to provide top-notch service on the go. Balancing patient care with the administrative tasks of running a business was a learning curve.

Finally, one of the most personal challenges was overcoming self-doubt. Starting something new can be intimidating, but I stayed focused on my passion for helping others, which gave me the drive to keep going.

Each of these challenges taught me valuable lessons about persistence, communication, and adaptability. They’ve shaped me into a better business owner and allowed me to build a service I’m truly proud of.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe the most important quality for my success is compassion. Mobile phlebotomy is not just about drawing blood; it’s about understanding the needs of patients who might be anxious, unwell, or unable to leave their homes. Compassion allows me to provide not only a service but also a sense of comfort and trust to those I serve.

This quality has helped me build strong relationships with my clients, ensuring they feel cared for and valued. It’s the driving force behind my commitment to making healthcare more accessible and personal for everyone. Without compassion, I don’t think I would have been able to create a service that resonates so deeply with patients and their families.
