Today we’d like to introduce you to Ken Reddy
Hi Ken, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started with a single mango tree in our family backyard. We had an abundance of mangos and didn’t want them to go to waste so we put them up on FB marketplace. During the mango season we heard so many stories about people that had major health issues and were struggling to find local non-sprayed foods. Having been in big tech for a number of years we had the privilege of living all over the world and one thing that was missing back here was accountability and traceability in the food supply chain. Almost as if it were fate, I received the dreaded phone call from both my parents in the same week that they had stage 4 cancer and we should prepare for the worst. We had heard so many horrific stories we had to do something, so we started We3Wolves with the intention of using our tech skills to bring back a modern day version of the old farming co-ops. There are so many back yards here in Florida that have an abundance of natural fruits & vegetables and you can’t throw a rock without hitting a food forest initiative but nobody was putting it all together. That’s where we come in. We have been building a network of small farms and growers across the south and helping locals get access to the cleanest food available. It started with mangos and then coconuts and as people kept requesting more items we added more growers to our network. Our long-term goal is to help provide land for families that want to give up the big city life and start a homestead but have no clue where to start or maybe even the funds to make such a drastic change. As we grow we will buy land and help educate couples allowing them to live and work on the homestead for free while making a living growing clean food that we use to sell to our customers. After 7 years we gift them the land and continue to purchase from them so they always have an income. We have already found our first 4 acre spot outside of Orlando that we are working on building out as the test pilot . We have been been blessed to have built a solid group of customers that we lovingly joke around and call them our Wolf Pack. Our customers ranges from young people looking to detox from social media and want to start living a more healthy lifestyle to widows that miss their gardens they used to have with their significant loved ones. What makes us different is our community, we work with restaurants like Solorzano’s Pizza who want to give their customers the cleanest food ingredients and make it an important part of what makes them different.
We take the time to get to know our customers and their stories, we often pray with them and for some of out older or struggling customers will add in donations for them for that week.
It’s all about bringing back the decency we have lost through the digital transformation and uprising. Where similar brands are using the internet and social media hype to build their brand we are going more old school methods and giving people back a little of what they have been missing from their lives. Some other notable success stories are we help our clients that want to start their own home business by advertising or carrying their products in our shop. These products include bread, fire cider, elderberry, pre-made natural juices and soon ready made meals to support your health goals.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Current challenges are budget and time. We are financing this ourselves and because of our commitment to only provide the cleanest options to our customers it requires a lot of driving and evaluating growers. We know how important this is to the community and as we grow it will get more financially sound but at the moment it’s a challenge some weeks to provide the help we do to the community vs the revenue based on our customer base. As we grow that will become easier.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Reddy2Grow & We3Wolves?
We support We3Wolves with our tech consulting business Reddy2Grow, which we have been running since 2018.
Reddy2Grow specializes in helping smaller brands and family owned businesses grow and compete with larger brands using our exec-as-service offering. We partner execs looking for a side hustle with smaller brands allowing them to punch out of their weight class.
We3Wolves actually started in 2015 while we were overseas for work. It was a fun family brand that came up with solutions to annoying problems families had. It was always just a hobby business until we dusted it off in 2024 and started the business we described earlier in the questions. The first two products we developed under We3Wolves in 2015 were:
1. A device that allowed emergency services to roll down a person’s windows or start their car remotely if a child or pet was left in the heat or cold.
2. The second less novel invention was a Bluetooth transmitter/weatherproof speaker for your truck radio to make it easier to enjoy the drive-in movies in the bed of your truck..
We have always been about helping families and our unofficial ethos is Faith, Family and Freedom.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
