Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Walseth
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I never intended to be in real estate sales. My father, Troy, has been a real estate agent for over 30 years. My background is in counseling, coaching, and business, which seems to translate well into real estate, but I sort of got here by accident!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
What a loaded question! Real estate is never a “Smooth Road” per se, however I love what I do and I’m very rarely bored because of the constant and unique challenges that selling real estate affords .
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a team leader, real estate sales person, real estate coach, and real estate investor.
My specialties include short-term vacation rental sales and management, investment properties, single family homes used as primary residences, and second homes.
I’m most proud of the people I coach and mentor. I believe that a real estate coach is much more than a sales manager. It certainly includes some aspects of tracking numbers and goal setting, but more importantly it factors in the individuals strengths and weaknesses, weekly accountability, and creating a unique plan so that the coach he can succeed in their own way.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a very curious kid. I loved school and learning about everything that I possibly could get my hands on. I asked a lot more questions than most kids my age.
As I got a little bit older, in junior high and high school, I found my entrepreneurial spirit and it’s never left me. I started buying candy that the little shop in my school didn’t carry and I would sell it to students for about a 100% profit. Everyday before school I would stop by a gas station and buy them out of the candies that I knew were going to be desirable.
After selling candy, I took of a huge hobby of mine, collecting sports cards, and started buying and selling and flipping them for profit.
In high school I worked for a car lot who also let me sell my own vehicles on the lock while I worked there. I think I bought, sold, and flipped over 20 vehicles in 3 years from ages 14-17.
