Today we’d like to introduce you to Rowdy Jameson
Hi Rowdy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Rowdy Jameson of The Rowdy Jameson Band.I also own a construction company called Greg Jameson Masonry Company.I got started in Country Music because I fell in love with the music of guys like George Strait-Alan Jackson-and Toby Kieth. And Southern Rock bands like The Eagles-Marshall Tucker Band and The Allmam Brothers. We got the band started running an open mic night in Orlando and began playing bars all over town-sometimes many miles away.We started growing a following and play for packed audiences. It’s been quite a journey coming from building houses-knowing the meaning of hard work and building towards your dreams-to putting a 7 piece band together that can fill almost any sized room.We focus on showing the audience a good time and are happy to play requests. We also Write and Record original music. Please check out our originals on either You Tube or Spotify-“The Rowdy Jameson Band”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has always been fun-building stuff or playing music. When you love what you do-you will never work a day-so they say.Lol.I guess the climb has been pretty steep at times and sometimes it seems daunting-but you never stop believing. In yourself-in your band in your construction business. You worked your tail off for these things. So you gotta feel a sense of pride for what it has become.Everything that you want is hard to get.You learn to rejoice in getting those things-knowing your hard work is paying off
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am most proud of building successful teams in Construction and Music..Some of my favorite projects in construction are the College Park Community Gateway Signage I built. They are Old World wood mold bricks and have artistic shaped designs. There are four of them throughout town..My favorite gig we ever had was on a lake/performing on a pontoon boat-where all the guests arrived by way of sea planes. It was so awesome and fulfilling as the crowd loved us.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
It’s necessary.I try to keep my cards close to the vest.I look at reward as something only risk can bring you.
