Meet Carla Adriana of Orlando, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Adriana

Hi Carla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a passion for creativity, which led me to a career in communications and public relations. But I wanted something that was just for me, a creative space beyond work.
I’ve always been the go-to person for friends and family asking about things to do or places to eat. I love exploring—whether it’s taking a day trip, checking out local gems, or spending time at the theme parks. So, I figured, what if I start a blog? In early 2020, I decided to bring that idea to life and share all the amazing things around Orlando, especially outdoor activities. That’s how The Locally Blog was born. I chose the name to keep the focus on local finds while giving myself the flexibility to grow if I ever move.
Throughout this journey, I’ve had moments where life got in the way, and I couldn’t dedicate as much time to my account as I wanted. I kept postponing posts, and for a while, things felt stuck. But in early 2024, I decided to go all in. I committed to being consistent, and it made all the difference.
Since starting in 2020, my content has evolved beyond outdoor activities. Now, I share Disney content and foodie finds through #TheLocallyEats, my Friday restaurant recommendation series. It’s been an incredible journey, where I have met wonderful people and I’m excited to keep growing and sharing even more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh, definitely not a smooth road! When I first started my account, I was so excited to share all things to do around Orlando but as time went by and things started to open again, I struggled to stay consistent. There were periods when I barely posted because I kept pushing it off or felt stuck on what to share next. Growing an audience was another challenge. It’s easy to feel discouraged when you’re putting in effort but not seeing immediate results. I had to remind myself why I started—because I wanted a creative outlet to share my passion for exploring my city, not just for the numbers.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In my professional career, I’m a communications and public relations professional for a local nonprofit. I love the direction my career has taken and the organization’s mission to support residents in finding meaningful careers. I’m also happy to have The Locally Blog as my creative outlet, which helps me keep up with the latest trends and acquire new skills such as video editing.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Whether you’re a longtime Central Florida resident or new to the area, follow my account The Locally Blog on Instagram and TikTok to find out all the amazing things to do in Orlando and beyond. Stay tuned for the relaunch of my website TheLocallyBlog.com
