Check Out Sumo Bangaa’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sumo Bangaa

Sumo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Born in Sanford, raised in Deltona. Played football all my life, but I’ve also been intertwined with music my whole life. Got a scholarship to play ball but due to many trials and tribulations it didn’t work out, and at that moment I decided that I was not going to waste my gift/talent again so I dove into the music game head first. Been actually pushing my music to the public going on 3 years now, had some ups and downs but quitting is not an option.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
To be honest I’m a warrior spirit so the majority of my obstacles were dealt with in stride, but the loss of my brother was the one that really rocked the boat ya dig

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist, I create music. I don’t throw a genre in front of the word artist just because I make what I feel, I don’t box myself in especially being bilingual and all that.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Most important lesson was to keep your germs to yourself, and isolation can be beneficial
