Meet Drewski of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drewski

Hi Drewski, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up in high school, my fascination with house music began unexpectedly at my local barbershop. Every time I’d get a haircut, the barbers would play infectious house beats that resonated with me. Despite the dominant rap scene at the time, house music’s unique vibe captivated me.

As I grew older and started attending festivals and clubs, I’d seek out house music events. But it wasn’t until I relocated to Orlando from New York in 2022 that I finally took the leap and started DJing publicly.

From there, my passion snowballed, and the rest, as they say, is history. I’m thrilled to be sharing my energy and love for house music with the world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Pursuing my passion hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve had to sacrifice precious time with loved ones and friends. Sadly, I’ve also lost some dear ones along the way. Everything comes at a cost, and this journey has been no exception. It’s demanding and time-consuming, but I’ve learned that obstacles are inevitable in any path we choose.

It’s not about avoiding hurdles, but about how we overcome them that matters.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m Drewski, a DJ and artist specializing in Tech House, Latin Tech House, and Minimal Deep Tech. My latest production, ‘Frisky Echoes,’ a collaboration with Manda Moor, is my most recognizable achievement. This track has gained global recognition, with plays in Ibiza, London, Italy, Germany, Peru, and numerous other countries.

Notably, ‘Frisky Echoes’ has received support from industry favorites , including The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, and Marco Carola.

My unique sound is rooted in my upbringing in New York, where I was immersed in the underground house music scene. Incorporating my cultural heritage adds a distinctive layer to my artistry, setting me apart in the industry.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I’m optimistic about the future of our industry, driven by the emergence of talented young artists. The potential is vast, and I predict we’ll see more artists performing in iconic destinations like Ibiza and touring globally.

The United States will likely experience significant growth, with new festivals and clubs popping up nationwide. As we continue to develop and expand the nightlife scene, the opportunities will only continue to grow.
