Hi Sydonnie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
hello, my name is Sydonnie cameron , I started doing nails at the age of 12 has always been by passion when I got a foster care. I was doing my foster sister Dales and it started from a little kiss kit that my grandma bought me when I was younger when I got out of foster care I actually took no serious and I went to school for it and then I started actually taking clients in 2018 and then I’ve been doing nails ever since I love what I do I love to be creative nails are so peaceful and calming to me, and it really really helps me to express myself.

so again, my brand is called nails by monay and I started that name and kind of name it after my my daughter I’m her middle name and I basically specialize in nails any type of nails that are in the nail game with that time frame that I do a lot of long nail short nails, medium nails I love to do a lot of creative nails I also do pedicures and toes not too fun of that but I do I do a lot of acrylic sets a lot of designs. I just love for Client 🤞🏽 to come and just be let me let me be creative with their nails.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risktaking I have done a lot of risktaking with becoming a Nail Tech. I started off in my home in the comfort of my home. I’m literally working from up to sundown with a new board. I transfer from my home to a shop and when I say that was the biggest step that I’ve ever done like in life itself because I was so nervous of people judging me with you know being a new Nail Tech in town and so forth, but I literally just put my foot out there and I just did a lot of marketing. I did a lot of posting and I literally literally got myself out there with that.
