Hi Nadja, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After my second child was born, I found myself in a very yucky mental state. The baby blues hit me really hard. I was a stay at home mom during the day, and then in the evenings, I would work part time at a job that was draining me just as much, both physically and mentally.
I was giving so much of myself to everyone else, that I was neglecting my own mental health in the process. I was yearning for any kind of creative release.
One night driving home from work, I got an idea. The night prior, I was up intil 3am baking a cake for my son’s birthday that weekend- stressed out and exhausted. And then it clicked.
What if I created a custom cupcake delivery service that would help other busy parents just like me?! Homemade for a parent by a parent- with lots of love- and delivered straight to your door!
And that’s when Envy Cupcakes was born!
From a young age I was always in the kitchen. Baking and cooking was a true passion of mine. A baking business felt natural and it felt right. It was finally the creative release that I was desperately yearning for all this time!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It most definitely hasn’t been smooth sailing since starting my business. But it would be quite boring if it was, no?
One of the biggest things I had to get right from the get go was time management. On top of caring for two little ones, I had to make sure I stayed professional with my business and keep work/life at a healthy balance. Recipes were also still being tweaked (in those beginning stages), which led to a couple of unhappy, first customers, but overall, all these incidents were helping shape me into being a stronger and smarter business women.
I learned from my mistakes, I took advice (and criticism), and I strived everyday to be better than I was the day before.
Every single bump in the road has led me to where I am now, and I wouldn’t change my journey for anything!

Envy is my custom cake and cupcake delivery service. I create custom desserts, baked from scratch, and I deliver them right to your doorstep!
I am extremely proud of everything that comes out of my kitchen. I am proud to say that i have no set design or flavor menu- and that just try to create whatever the client is envisioning, to the best of my ability. Every single cake and cupcake is created with extreme attention to detail. Know that if you order from me, I pour as much love into your cake as I would for my own kids’. I hope you can not only see the love, but also taste it too!
What’s next?
I am so excited for the future of my little cake business. I stepped out of my comfort zone this year and applied to a few TV baking shows! I would also love to be recognized by bigger brands online and so more content cakes!
