Check Out Josh Gluck’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Gluck

Hi Josh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Thanks for having me! I think it might be cool to approach this by zooming in on something specific – so I’ll focus on the songwriting aspect of my career this time. Right around 2017/2018 was when I really started to approach songwriting seriously. For many years prior to that, I was a musician playing in groups/bands and eventually the “original music bug“ hit me. The first song I fully completed and felt good about was titled, “redesign“. That ended up being the first song I professionally released. Since then, I’d say one of the most important things I’ve learned about songwriting is that songs are best made when unforced, but you do have to put in work to allow yourself to be in a space where inspiration can come to you freely.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Obstacles and challenges are all part of not just this journey, but everyone’s journey. I personally believe that in pursuing art, if those aspects aren’t present, it’s very hard to find something genuine and true. They are just as important as moments of ease and seamlessness.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love the question, “what are you known for?”. I actually think people should ask themselves that question more often. To themselves especially, even without an audience. A singer-songwriter and musician is what I am. But I hope that today, I’m known for making people smile and feel welcomed. Whether that be through my music or somewhere else.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is going to see Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with my parents at the amphitheater in West Palm Beach. I can still close my eyes and feel the way I felt when I experienced that for the first time. A part of that memory is with me always.
