Daily Inspiration: Meet Morgan Foresteire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Foresteire

Hi Morgan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta, GA in 2012 with an Associates in Baking and Patisserie!
I originally went to college for Marine Biology but after a semester away from home I decided to change courses. I found myself majoring in Art History, then ended up at Culinary School! It was so much fun and I really enjoyed learning about different techniques and ways to cook and prepare food. I found a way to express my artistic side by creating edible art!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With every small business there are of course challenges we will have to face from time to time. I think the most challenging one is presenting who you are and what you offer to the community. Not everyone is going to accept or like you and that’s okay! We have to be true to ourselves and just make sure we make ourselves happy as well. Providing great customer service is important. The best way to get our names out there is by word of mouth. Every mention, comment, share, like, or review means so much!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have worked at many different bakeries and dessert shops including some popular names that are very well known. I was a pastry chef at an authentic Italian restaurant, lead cake decorator and baker, I also attended a few VIP events when I worked at Disney’s Epcot as a pastry chef.
I would say my specialty and style would be the Boho Chic designs. I feel I can really express myself through designing cakes. I would say being able to make my customers happy with a beautiful, homemade celebration piece really keeps me going. I really do express my love through my work and sometimes it’s hard to let go lol.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Honestly my favorite childhood memory would have to be playing outside in our neighborhood. Before we became glued to our phones and watching other people live their lives instead of focusing on what we have now in front of us. Back when we were told to be home before the streetlights came on lol. We knew where our friends were hanging out at when you saw a pile of bikes and razor scooters out on the lawn. We would jump on trampolines and go on trips with our friends to the lake or camping. We would be out most of the day playing and building random forts in the forest behind our houses. Those were the best times and I really do miss it.
