Conversations with Kiaeira Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiaeira Johnson

Kiaeira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started out, of course, as a consumer of social media. I was always inspired to create but never believed that my voice was relevant or one that anyone would listen to. From 2010, at the age of 15, I created and deleted many social media projects! I felt that I had no place. I was not cool enough, interesting enough, etc. like many creators! Well, in March of 2024, I stumbled upon a couple while scrolling through tik tok! I believe your company already has an article on them! Tracie & Cheryl Parsa-Brown. Deep in the throes of grief, they were a light for me. From there, I created a tik tok account by the name of @tcfamplans. I had no idea what I was going to do with the account, but I wanted to be apart of their community! One day, I was on their YouTube channel and decided to make a fan edit video using their videos. The more edits I made, the more followers came! And the couple themselves recognized me many times! I live streamed from that page. I talked about life, my struggles and even she’d some tears. Their community embraced me! The page now has nearly 40k followers, a little over 1 million likes and I have met so many wonderful people because of it! I met the couple in September 2024 and was lucky enough to see them again in December 2024! They’re the sweetest. But, through this experience, I discovered that love and compassion breeds hope! Hope for life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Had I not found Tracie and Cheryl, I would not have met some my greatest friends to date. They inspired me to continue to foster hope through love and compassion. As well as being transparent about life and its challenges! I started to branch out from there. I now post on YouTube, instagram and threads (@Amazingggkiki). All of my content is lifestyle. It highlights that our everyday lives are the content! That is the story! And no matter what is going on in your story, you matter! If you feel that it’s mundane and insignificant, it is not. You are special and so are your interests. We have the ability to inspire no matter what we’re doing! I still get messages from people in the community (TCFAM) daily about how I have been a light or how I have inspired others to be more present and be themselves! I have had the opportunity to be a secret diner at restaurants, be contacted by some of people’s favorite brands and now the Orlando Voyager! And at this time, I am a very small creator! Believing in yourself is a full time job, but when you are invested, it works. I’m ready to continue to inspire, bring hope and continue to grow!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Dealing with grief (unexpected death of my ex), imposter syndrome and just allowing yourself to be while others are watching… can be difficult! I also experienced people not being the most honest version of themselves in order to reap some sort of benefit. That’s very disheartening! I definitely experienced wanting to quit my passion for content creation due to that. But, when it’s inside of you, it’s not something that goes away without a fight!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently, I am a vlogger! My specialty is just being my most authentic self! When I started out, I was as an editor within Tracie & Cheryl’s community. I’m most proud of my ability to hold space for others to be just as they are. I find that sometimes people need someone to give them a gentle nudge in the direction of self acceptance and actualization. I feel like I have accomplished that with a good handful of people! As simple as it may sounds, that’s what sets me apart. There’s bravery in authenticity! Everyone is racing to try to be just like their favorite creator! To garner the same success! I’m not ruled by that. My method is not overnight success. It’s slow and steady! That takes a skill set that not everyone has. My biggest competitor is m and I’m quietly cruising in my own lane.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Let them theory by Mel Robbin’s is a great place to start. Letting go of what you cannot control is paramount! I frequently watch Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes on YouTube! They don’t compete, they just exist. Their content is simply them living life and it’s so encouraging to see. Finally, Tracie & Cheryl! Their ability to love out loud, highlight the importance of manifesting and doing the next right thing, and just being all around good people. They were the catalyst for me beginning this journey! I owe a lot to them and their community!
