Today we’d like to introduce you to Hector Vega Toro
Hi Hector, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in the production industry as a theater actor at 13 years old at my hometown’s School of Fine Arts. It was there that I discovered my calling in entertainment and creativity. After high school, I went on to college, where I became a member of the College Actors Association, serving as vice president and producer of my experimental play, Spooky October The Show. That was my first theatrical production, which solidified my passion for theater. Over the years, I created other independent productions within the Hispanic community, including three plays of my authorship. One of these brought me success and opened doors to explore other productions. Plays such as Nacimos de un mismo callejón (Born from the Same Hood), El cama se vale todo (On Bed, All Takes), and Soy un Pelado Millonario (The Poor Millionaire) are theatrical works that I authored.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
WOW, I believe all paths are interesting, and mine is no exception. In the beginning, I can tell you it was an adventure filled with insecurities and confusion. I questioned myself constantly, asking things like, “Am I doing things right?” or “Do people like what I do?” I was overconfident in my projects, often leaving room for other creatives to influence me, which ultimately altered my original vision. That’s when life started to get interesting—when the real challenges with myself began. If I had to pinpoint something difficult, I would say it’s not daring enough. Never trying to see if it’s the right space or place for me.

Hello, my name is Hector Vega Toro. I am an actor, theater, film, and entertainment producer of Native American and Latino descent.
Now, as creator, producer, and host of the digital platform and talk show Into the Spotlight TV,
Into the Spotlight TV is a social media platform for interviews, games, and information about the entertainment world. In 2020, this initiative to meet new local artists through virtual interviews was born. You know, the pandemic. And it was very welcoming for those who like good interviews. What started as an aspiring portfolio. Today, it has turned into a talk show here in Orlando. After 5 years, the show is launched in TV studios now playing in downtown Orlando, FL, as a new audience and impacting/elevating local artists and events here.
I identify myself as an authentic creator with a very good sense of humor, but above all, I am very professional and dedicated. I am characterized by discipline and, in some or most cases, protection of the environment.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
What have I learned after the pandemic? I think it is to value more time and love for oneself. To be automatic and overworking, we forget even to feel our breath (ourselves) as essences. That we are important, not so much for others but for ourselves.
