Conversations with Samantha Samuel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Samuel.

Hi Samantha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hey! I’ve always wanted to model and be an influencer for being my authentic self and being transparent, whether it’s for beauty, photo shoots, or my cooking skills, I recently created my own food page and started showcasing those talents on my YouTube. I’m originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida but moved to Orlando because I wanted to finish up with school, which I graduated in 2019 with associates and I’m returned back to school to get my bachelor’s degree because during the peak of the pandemic, I was pregnant and I became extremely motivated after having my daughter to give her the best life and Plenty of options available to her. I realize that even though I am working in corporate America, my passion is always leading me back to being an influencer. How can I be a? Good role model to my daughter if I don’t follow my dreams? So here we are, working corporate, school, and being a mini influencer until I blow up!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t I should have finished school years ago, but living in Fort Lauderdale, the distractions were immense and I wasn’t focused. Plus, personal home issues were taking a toll, which was the ultimate decision into moving to Orlando. I rather my peace. But honestly, moving to Orlando was fun because at the time, I moved with two friends from back home, but the real world started to hit me quickly; but I was running low on cash, I didn’t have a job lined up, one of my “friends” I moved with was actually using me, & I had a crazy stalker who was popping up at my job and house at random times.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I currently work for a third-party insurance company setting up short-term disability claims. I love working as a claim examiner, and I love talking to people and helping them get their claims approved, especially since they are going out of work being sick and they need to know when their means of income is coming in. I’m known for being a mentor at my job and having the most patience when training the new hires, and making sure they understand the concepts of claims and to make sure we really help clients gets their claims approved and their job protected from being unlawfully terminated while out on a leave.

What makes you happy?
My happiness comes from me, my family (daughter, and boyfriend) & family back home. I learned that I have to do everything to make me happy, I’m only here once, and I don’t want to be 80 years old with grandkids thinking of all things I regret not doing which I could have done. The family I created and the family I can from have taught me to go for everything I want, and it just makes me happy to receive support I didn’t think was possible to receive.

Congratulations!!! Samantha aka Sammy is what I call her. She is definitely the truth everything she speaks on is the truth. She’s the sweetest, super supportive friends I could ever ask for. I wish her nothing but the best and what the man above has in store her. She is an amazing person in and out.
