Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Levering.
Hi Chelsea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Gio’s Gem after my father suddenly passed last year in July. I started it because I want his name to live on. It’s all about crystal healing and the energy that crystals can give off to help you heal
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been easy to start up but getting my name out there is a struggle. I have to work a 40-hour job and make sure I post on all my social media platforms plus send our likes and followers to gain more traction. I’m so new that I’m just starting to get my name out there. Sales aren’t where I would like to be, but I believe that with persistence, I will make it happen.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Right now I work in commercial insurance. I am a customer service representative. This was my first job in five years of being a stay-at-home mom. It was a great opportunity during covid. I also have my culinary management degree and my real estate license, although that is hung at the moment. I think I’m most known for my ability to continue to learn and grow as a human. If I want to do something, I go for it. I always say I wear many hats. Just like for instance, I have 5 children, three of them are boys I didn’t feel like taking them to get a haircut every two weeks so I watched YouTube videos on how to give them haircuts. Now with my love for crystal, I plan to become a doula plus get many other certificates that consist of Chakra healing and reiki healing.
What was you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a quiet kid. I was friends with everyone. I didn’t have a click, but I knew everyone. I wasn’t really into sports. I worked through high school. I worked since 17. I lived on my own at 17. I think my grades were enough to make it through. I was diagnosed in elementary school with add so focusing was always a challenge. But I think as an adult it’s what keeps me wanting to learn and try new things.
