Today we’d like to introduce you to Jorge, Thais, Juliana Bechara.
Hello Jorge, Thais, and Juliana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We are Jorge, Thais, and Juliana, a Brazilian family born in São Paulo – Brazil. Jorge has been an entrepreneur of hospital supplies in Brazil for over 40 years. Thais is an educational and teaching expertise with more than 35 years of experience as a teacher and school counselor. Juliana has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a degree in Marketing, and an MBA in Business Intelligence. She has more than 10 years of experience working in multinational corporations, specifically in the entertainment (theatrical/film) industry. Nowadays, we are all dedicated to Orlando do Meu Jeito. Our story with Orlando began in 1972.
Magic Kingdom opened in October 1971, and in Jan 1972, Jorge traveled to Orlando to visit Walt Disney World for the first time. In 1979, as boyfriend and girlfriend, Jorge and Thaís returned to Orlando, and it was Thais’ first travel to the USA. Thais and Jorge got married in Dec 1982, and of course, their honeymoon was in Orlando, and Epcot opened in October of the same year. Juliana’s first visit to Orlando was in 1989; with only 3 years old and enjoyed the magic of Disney parks. Orlando was our main destination over these years. Year by year, we have kept up with the evolution and transformation of theme parks, shopping hubs, hotels, resorts, and entertainment in general. With our knowledge and orientation about this amazing city, family and friends suggested sharing the information with a larger audience. In 2019, we created the Orlando do Meu Jeito profile on social media. Orlando do Meu Jeito means in English, “Orlando in my way.” A few months later, followers asked about tickets, hotels, locations, etc. We felt the need to amplify our business and opened Orlando do Meu Jeito Viagens, our travel agency based in São Paulo, Brazil. Juliana is now living in Kissimmee, and we are splitting our time between Brazil and USA to share the most recent and fresh news about this destination.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As our main focus and specialization are Orlando, FL, our business started to grow only in the beginning of 2021, and new partnerships also began to appear. We created Orlando do Meu Jeito in June 2019 and the travel agency at the end of the same year. Unfortunately, at the beginning of 2020, the pandemic came through. We struggled a lot because the border was closed, and all international travel was suspended for about a year and a half. Also, being a content creator with all theme parks closed for months and with no possibility of tourism during the pandemic, we struggled to get new fun content and news about Orlando, FL.

Being recognized not only by our clients but also by our partners and in the tourism industry is also an objective that we seek in our business.
