Life & Work with Krishna López

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krishna López.

Hi Krishna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, look, since I was little, I used to decorate Barbie’s house, and during my growth, I was always interested in decoration. People close to me always asked me to decorate their parties or their homes, and I did it at no cost. It was 11 years ago when I decided to realize my dream as a business; the first birthday of my youngest son was my motivation to start a business. I started all this in my country-of-origin Puerto Rico; on my island, there is always a party! After a while, I made a change in my life and came here to the United States, and here I find myself wanting to expose my creativity, my work, and my style as an event designer, decorator, and planner. In addition to my Candy Buffets, they are unique! Honestly, my mind flies when I do this that I’m so passionate about!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m going to call it a test instead of an obstacle. My biggest test has been the change of country because I am in a place where nobody knows me, and I have to start from zero, but I am in the process of using this test as a stepping stone. Not long ago, a person I admire a lot told me: “That thing you’re looking for, those people you want to convert into your clients, they’re already there, you just have to go out and look for them,” and that’s what I do! Catching dreams!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Oh, God! I am very creative! My mind is never; still, it is always looking for something to create, change and invent. I consider myself a person who was born with the talent of creativity! I love art; it fascinates me that everything is different; I try to make my work speak for itself and make sense. One of my strong skills is that everything I do becomes a work of art; I am pleased to see the looks of amazement, the looks that do not go unnoticed, the looks that observe every detail. I do everything visually well, that they enjoy seeing my work, and above all that they feel in the atmosphere that was wanted to be captured in that decoration. My work comes from me, from my passion, and from my mind, and that for me is being different.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I studied fashion design, I studied interior design, I got certified as an event planner, and besides being detailed and creative, I am a very responsible person.
