Meet Alexis Logan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Logan.

Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I fell in love with photography when I was ten years old when I used my grandfather’s camera for the first time. I started working when I was 15 and I saved every penny from my paychecks to get my first camera and eventually, after a year of working, I saved enough to not only get my first camera but also get all the essentials that I wanted to start off with. I started doing TFP photoshoots which means (Time for Photos), so essentially I did free photoshoots for about three months to get more experience and to feel out my personal style and see what I liked. It has been four years since I got my first camera and now I have worked with CBD Companies, WWE Wrestlers, and have worked in the Fashion Industry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. When I was growing up, I struggled with communication and branching out to new things as I was an extreme introvert. But when I grew up, I learned that as a Photographer and to just exceed in the world, I needed to open up and get better with communication, with that being said I would look at myself in the mirror everyday and have conversations about all kinds of topics and pretend they were clients. A few years later, I became comfortable with myself and knowing my voice and who I was as a person. Now I am a 22 year old, comfortable with my voice and can have full-blown conversations with people I don’t know and feel great.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Portrait/Editorial/Fashion Photographer based out of Orlando FL. I am known for my Creative Photoshoots, I have ADHD, so I used that as my Inspiration. I like creative concepts, such as vibrancy, but I also like dark and moody. I would say something that I am very proud of in my four years of Photography would have to be that I have been given such incredible opportunities over the years. Something that sets me apart from other photographers is that I am an (Out Of The Box) type of person. I find beauty in Obscurity and some things that other people may find boring or not beautiful I find amazing and unique.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that people may not know about me is that I have lived all over the US. My family growing up was a very adventurous family. I have seen Mountains, Cities, Desserts, Beaches, and Corn Fields. Many people may not understand why that is important and different for me. But not many people can say that they have seen all of that. Moving around so much as a child, I learned to appreciate all walks of life. I have seen different ethnicities and have seen diversity in America over the years. As a photographer, I can say I was blessed with a childhood like that and growing up that way really opened my eyes to the beauty of our country and all the people around the world.
