Jerrick Richardson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Jerrick, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I currently became a football coach for a youth football team located in the Clermont/minneola area called the south lake soldiers. I coach a 10 year old team it feels good to be able to coach these kids and teach them about a sport I once played when I was a kid and as a teen.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Jerrick Richardson, founder and CEO of Jugghouse Records, an independent music label based in Orlando. We’ve racked up over 18 million streams by helping artists grow not just in music, but in brand and business. What makes Jugghouse unique is our blend of music, streetwear, and culture — creating a lifestyle that inspires and connects with our community. Right now, I’m expanding our artist roster and launching our streetwear line, Jugghouse.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I believe the part of me that must now be released is the fear of failure and self-doubt. Holding onto that used to keep me cautious, but it also held me back. Letting it go has opened the door to greater creativity, confidence, and growth—allowing me to fully pursue my vision with Jugghouse and beyond
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience and humility in a way success never could. When things are tough, you learn how to keep pushing forward despite setbacks, and you gain a deeper appreciation for every small win. It also reminds me to stay grounded and connected to the real struggles behind the dreams I’m chasing.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public me is a part of who I am, but there’s always more beneath the surface—my true self grows with every experience and isn’t fully captured by what others see.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
Some might just see my music and brand and miss the bigger picture. For me, legacy is about the lives I’ve touched, the doors I’ve opened for others, and staying true to where I come from. It’s about lifting up my community, not just chasing success.
