We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kathy Joglar . Check out our conversation below.
Kathy , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I lose track of time whenever I’m creating or traveling. When I’m designing an event, I can get completely absorbed in the little details, imagining how everything will come together. The same thing happens when I’m exploring a new place—I’m so caught up in the sights, sounds, and experiences that the hours just slip away. I find myself again in those moments when I step back and take it all in—the joy of seeing others happy, the memories being made, and the reminder that life is about connection, adventure, and appreciating the beauty in front of us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Kathy! ✨ My journey started with a simple love for creating moments that make people feel special, and over time that passion grew into my brand. What began as small creative projects has blossomed into designing events that truly reflect each person’s story. I’ve always believed the magic is in the details—the little touches that make someone say, “This feels so me.”
Traveling has been a huge source of inspiration along the way. Experiencing new places, cultures, and traditions sparks ideas that I bring back into my work, keeping each design fresh and meaningful. At its heart, my brand is about more than decorations—it’s about connection, joy, and turning visions into experiences that leave lasting memories.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband. Long before I fully saw my own potential, he did. He noticed the strengths and dreams I hadn’t yet recognized in myself, and he never stopped encouraging me to reach higher and believe in what I could accomplish. His unwavering support and quiet confidence gave me the courage to take risks, follow my passions, and grow into the person I am today. In so many ways, he helped me see—and become—the best version of myself, and for that, I’ll always be grateful.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of not being enough—of failing or falling short—has held me back more than anything else. It made me second-guess my decisions, doubt my abilities, and sometimes hesitate to take the risks that could lead to growth. Over time, I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about never being afraid—it’s about moving forward even when fear is there, trusting in my skills, my support system, and the vision I have for my life. Each time I face that fear, I grow stronger and more confident in who I am and what I can accomplish.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is a version of myself, but not the full picture. It’s polished and intentional, shaped to show what I want others to see, but the real me—the one who laughs at the silly stuff, worries quietly, and dreams wildly—exists behind the scenes. Over time, I’ve learned that being real doesn’t mean sharing everything; it means showing enough of yourself that others can connect with who you truly are. It’s about embracing imperfections, sharing the ups and downs, and letting authenticity guide how I show up. True connection, both personally and professionally, comes from allowing people to see the heart behind the image.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who made others feel seen, valued, and inspired. I want the story they tell to reflect a life lived with creativity, kindness, and intention—someone who poured heart into everything she did, celebrated the people around her, and encouraged others to pursue their dreams without fear. Ultimately, I hope they remember the love, joy, and connection I tried to bring into every space, and how I used my passions to leave a positive mark on the world.
