An Inspired Chat with Roxy Ramirez of Central Florida

We recently had the chance to connect with Roxy Ramirez and have shared our conversation below.

Roxy, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Thank you, I’m thrilled to be here. Right now, what I’m being called to, I would have to say is my Faith. I’ve always been a believer & grew up going to Mass every Sunday, but most recently, I have been intrigued in learning more about God & letting him be a part of my every day, especially in my work.

Honestly, it’s a little challenging because faith can be a touchy subject & I want to do it in a way that feels genuine & most definitely, not pushy. I’ve always been friendly, open & judgment-free & that’s not changing. It may just be about being more intentional, more present & more self-aware. Running my business with deeper purpose, love, compassion & fairness.

My focus right now is on serving & supporting others, giving back in meaningful ways. I make sure all gently used items from organizing sessions are donated to local nonprofits, offer my services for fundraising events & whenever I can, I take the time to personally volunteer & distribute donations. It’s really important to me that my work not only helps my clients but also makes a positive impact in the community.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Roxy, your go-to mom home organizer, helping you free up space & time! I’m the heart & soul behind ReOrganized Refreshed, Professional Home Organizing based in Winter Park, serving all of Central Florida.

At ReOrganized Refreshed, I help you categorize, sort, declutter & create organized systems that truly fit your day-to-day. It’s not just about making things look pretty, it’s about making your home work for you, with more flow, more peace & way less stress.

This work goes beyond the aesthetics. It’s about life’s milestones: welcoming a new baby & creating a nursery, a son growing into a teen needing a better closet system, sorting through a loved one’s belongings after they’ve passed, moving after a divorce or settling into your first college dorm.

Every drawer I open, every box we unpack; it’s never just “stuff.” It’s your life, your moments, your memories. And the trust you put in me to walk through those seasons with you means everything. The laughs while we sort, the stories shared as we purge, the tears that sometimes come when you see how far you’ve come, that’s the heart of this work.

What makes my approach a little different? I run my business with heart. I’m faith-driven, focused on giving back & intentional about helping my clients feel calm, comfortable & at ease. In a world where so much feels out of our control, our home should be our sanctuary. Every project is a chance to create that little pinch of joy for my clients.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Some of you may know, for some it may be news, but I am originally from the big apple… NYC! Born & raised.

The unexpected urge to want to relocate, & to Florida, no other, was something that I still question to this day. It happened so quickly yet very smoothly, like it was meant to be. Now, four years later, I often reflect on my life back in New York. No hate to my roots; I’ll forever be a proud New Yorker, ride or die; but something shifted. Slowly, but noticeably.

Maybe it’s the extra dose of vitamin D from the Sunshine State, maybe it’s the slightly slower pace or the lack of subway commute. Or maybe it’s simply life moments that have shaped me to now. I’ve learned to be more present, more intentional & self-aware, break a bit outside the day-to-day down to the minute hustle.

I have more time with my children, I volunteer regularly & most importantly, I’ve grown deeply curious about my faith. I’m learning to accept, to embrace, to keep challenging myself, but to do it with more grace. I’m learning to appreciate where I am, right here, right now, making the best of what I have while I continue to grow towards more. That’s faith.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Ab-so-lute-ly! Are you kidding me? The idea of starting a business of a service you provide, that you know people could make use of & actually pay you for it, finding your clientele & actually making a living off of it… mind blown! The imposter syndrome is real. You start doubting yourself & that doubt can totally block your drive & ambition. It usually sneaks in during the slow seasons too.

The fluctuation in clientele is something I don’t think I’ll ever get used to. Give me steady, consistent, reliable, that’s where I thrive! I’ve had to learn to accept those ups & downs, take them as opportunities to get creative, think outside the box & really evolve. Most importantly, trusting God, surrendering to Him & learning patience, that’s what’s kept me from giving up.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in the home organizing world is that it’s all about the aesthetic. Yeah, the bins & labels & baskets are cute, but how realistic is it to dump your boxed cereal into a container every single time? Homes won’t always look magazine-perfect, & that’s okay! They are lived in, loved in, played in & sometimes messy. That’s what makes them a home.

There’s also this misconception that organizers just come in & make you get rid of everything. I mean, that’s such a cheat, we could all trash half our belongings & immediately feel less cluttered, more tidy. True organizing is about holding onto what truly matters, repurposing or donating what no longer serves you & creating systems that actually fit your day to day life style.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Honestly, I’d want to say the connection! I know, so corny. Hear me out: there are tons of organizers out there, just like any profession, but what makes each of us unique is who we are as individuals & I’m very aware of that in each session.

My clients would probably miss the bonding… or at least I’d like to think they would. The interaction while we sort through their most prized possessions, decluttering her not-so-favorite kids’ artwork, being in that safe space of venting, laughing, understanding & sometimes even getting a little emotional. It’s like having your organizing bestie right there with you; no judgment, just encouragement, support & me carrying all the boxes.

Side perk: I’m also that bestie who lets you complain about your husband or your MIL, & then I pack up & leave. So no worries, your secrets are safe with me, lol.

By the end, you don’t just end up with a decluttered, organized, streamlined space; you feel refreshed & a little lighter in your spirit too. Sometimes the venting is just as healing as the organizing.
