An Inspired Chat with Toni-Ann Eccles of Orlando, Florida

We recently had the chance to connect with Toni-Ann Eccles and have shared our conversation below.

Toni-Ann, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is a blend of intention, purpose, and passion. As the owner of TME Cosmetics, a bodycare brand dedicated to self-love and wellness, every day begins with centering myself spiritually. I start my mornings with prayer and reading my devotional, which helps me align my heart and mind before diving into the demands of the day.

After grounding myself spiritually, I shift my focus to the business. I check and respond to work emails and engage with my audience on social media. This can include replying to comments, answering messages, or nurturing the community I’ve built around my brand. It’s important to me to stay connected and present with my customers, as they are truly the heart of TME Cosmetics.

Once I’ve handled those initial business tasks, I dedicate time to self-care which includes a quiet skincare routine and a moment of stillness. This is how I energize myself before stepping into another deeply meaningful role: my work as a Hospice Social Worker. In this space, I provide emotional and practical support to individuals and families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. It’s a calling I don’t take lightly, and it keeps me grounded in compassion and gratitude.

After my shift, I transition back into my role as a business owner. I head to the TME Cosmetics warehouse, where I manage order fulfillment, update inventory, and ensure that each package is prepared with care and love before dropping them off with our shipping carriers. This hands-on part of my day is where I physically see the impact of my work and the growth of my brand.

I close out the evening the same way I began it: with self-care, prayer, and reflection. It’s my way of recharging, staying connected to my “why,” and preparing to show up fully again tomorrow.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Toni-Ann, and I’m the founder of TME Cosmetics; a body care brand rooted in self-love, wellness, and intentional living. By day, I serve as a Hospice Social Worker, offering emotional support to individuals and families during life’s most tender moments. After hours, I pour that same compassion into TME Cosmetics, where I create organic, handmade skincare products designed to nourish both body and soul.
In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration, which equips me with the knowledge and strategic insight to successfully operate and grow my business.

Our product line includes body scrubs, body oils, lotions, moisturizers, and other body care essentials; all crafted to promote confidence, relaxation, and intentional self-care.

What truly sets TME Cosmetics apart is our mission to empower others. In addition to offering high quality skincare, we also help aspiring entrepreneurs launch their own skincare businesses by providing the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to create and sustain a successful brand. Our goal is to not only promote self-care but also to support others in building generational wealth and turning their dreams into reality.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work is my mother. Growing up, I watched her move with determination as a single mother who was chasing her dreams, building her career, and running multiple successful businesses all at once. Her drive, resilience, and unwavering belief in herself left a lasting impression on me. I inherited my work ethic from her, and it flows through me without hesitation or second thought. Watching her create opportunities, even in the face of challenges, showed me what it truly means to work hard with purpose and passion.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been numerous times when I came close to giving up, but one moment that stands out was during a sudden change in management at my warehouse. The new leadership brought unexpected restrictions that completely shifted what I was allowed to do in the space. It disrupted my workflow, delayed my production, and left me feeling frustrated and uncertain about how to move forward. In that moment, it felt like everything I had worked so hard to build was at risk. But instead of quitting, I was reminded of why I started, my purpose, my passion, and the vision I have for TME Cosmetics. That challenge pushed me to pivot, adapt, and keep going with even more determination.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
To some extent, no; the public version of me isn’t the full picture. In public settings, I tend to be more reserved and observant. I’m direct when asking or answering questions, and some might even describe me as quiet. But behind the scenes, especially around those I’m comfortable with, I’m much more open and talkative. I’m deeply passionate about my business and never hesitate to advocate for myself or what I believe in. During my mentorship sessions, that side of me really shines. My clients receive not just guidance, but real knowledge and value because I genuinely want to see them succeed.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Andolutely! My drive doesn’t come from external praise; it comes from within. I believe in giving my best because it reflects my character, my standards, and my purpose. Whether anyone acknowledges it or not, I find fulfillment in knowing that I showed up fully and stayed true to my vision. Building TME Cosmetics, serving my clients, selling wholesale products to customers, and mentoring others are all extensions of who I am. I don’t need applause to stay committed. Excellence, for me, is non-negotiable, even in silence.
