Hi Brini, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Right now ?! Well ……. this season of my life has me resting and living . Im working , but I’m working with ease and living life . We as creatives never stop dreaming or pushing the envelope – we spend day and night on the grind and before you know it… the kids are having birthdays and getting bigger …..so I’m letting some flowers bloom right now. My name is out there now and ive planted soooo many seeds , so I’m waiting on God to shift some things in my favor – and the wait comes with a little rest this season. But yeah , the work never stops ….. it’s just a season of resting and enjoying the fruits!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brini Williams . I am a professional model and actor , I would say my love for what I do has gotten me in Times Square on a billboard , ive shot countless commercials , Ive modeled live on stage for Maluma , ive done live television beauty work . I have pushed the standard for Petite Curve Models because height shouldn’t always be a factor for the word NO!
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I thought I was just hyper – and nobody wanted to be bothered with me . I knew I had a big imagination (which has greatly added to my acting skills lol , ) … but my personality was through the roof . I was fearless , sociable , and always loved to be in superstar mode. And now that I see what career path ive chosen .. this is who I was all along . Fun . Bright . Bold . Friendly. Ambitious !!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
ohhh man!! …… I would say a lot. But definitely follow your own path . You don’t have to be a teacher , or a nurse, or a firefighter … you can be things that you don’t even know have a title. Whatever you like to do EVERY SINGLE DAY – chase that passion. There’s a space for that.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Being too smart and thinking you don’t need someone. Everybody needs somebody. Life is about community and partnerships. You know the old saying : team work makes the dream work!!! In order to be successful and have a fulfilling life, surround yourself with other ideas and persons that help you to stay sharp and think critically even more than you do. You learn something new everyday , I truly believe that! I see other models and actors and I’m constantly learning something – how to connect with the camera more, how to update a better form of my portfolio. Just always willing to learn . I’m not too smart to not want to gain more knowledge.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
in the future – probably not having at least one more kid. I HAVE THREE . AND I HAD THEM BACK TO BACK. So the thought of having one more is not an option because geeeeshhhhhh that was rough having three kids. But when I settle down and possibly get ready to retire I may want to start over . Just one more to give me something to do, someone cute and smushy to push around the park in a stroller and live my best “late mom” life . Maybe around 44-46 I might give it one more shot . LOL
