Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Massari.
Hi Brad, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up in Orlando, FL, I feel like I was that one guy that always felt driven to film everything and kept a camera handy. I fell in love with the idea of documenting and reliving those moments through video. Taking bits and pieces of video clips and merging them together in an edit, I was able to create a story, and the final products would have me so excited that I wanted to keep expanding my expertise. Youtube could only teach me so much, so I decided to enroll in film school at FIRST Institute, where I learned hands-on every day about video production.
Once I graduated, I knew I wanted to dive headfirst into the industry and take on the freelance route. Starting off, I didn’t have much professional work to showcase my video/editing skills so I took on many projects that I did for free, which I paid off in the long run. This helped me build a solid portfolio and connections with great people. After getting a steady flow of some paid gigs, I opened up my own Video Production company Timeless Productions where I took on any video/photo work I could get to help build a name for the business. Eventually, I niched down to wedding videography which is where I’m at now creating creative storytelling wedding films that let couples relive their biggest day through a cinematic sequence of some of the most exciting moments of their lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth rode. In all our lives, we approach struggles that we have to fight through because we have to remember it’s just part of the process and we learn from our mistakes to move towards perfecting our craft. Starting out trying to grow Timeless Productions was probably the most difficult for me because I could see the end of the road clearly but didn’t know exactly which steps to take to get there. I knew it would be hard to build a name for myself to get new clients and separate myself from other videographers in the industry. I went with the motto of “Just Shoot” I knew if I just kept my hands on the camera capturing images and videos, I would be heading in the right direction. Just one foot in front of the other and keep networking to get my name out. No matter the job or task, I was always making sure I did my best no matter what. If I failed, I took it as a lesson.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a videographer based out of Orlando, Florida. I run a wedding videography business Timeless Productions LLC, that focuses on creating cinematic storytelling wedding films while also creating engaging content creation for creators or small businesses to use on their social media and websites. I’d say I specialize in gimbal camera operation and flying the drone to capture a different camera angle that isn’t seen too often. What would set me apart from other videographers is my pure passion for videography, always giving 110% and the way I’m able to create storytelling films bringing the client’s vision to life. For every project, I’m always looking for new ways to get creative and amaze the viewer.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned through my journey is to never stop chasing your dreams. Life is so much better when you get to spend a majority of your time doing what you love and building relationships with others along the way. There’s always room to get better and gain more knowledge. You will never know enough. Always take risks. You never know what the outcome could be on the other side. Thinking about a good life and how you would like life to pan out is cool and all but without taking action, you will remain the same. You have 100% control of your life, choose your happiness and run with it!
