Check Out Emily Levell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Levell.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design and merchandising. While I was working at local boutiques as a visual merchandiser, I started my jewelry line. Back then, it was under the name Emma Lee Designs, but in 2017 I rebranded when I launched my blog. Styled with Stones was born. A blog to talk about fashion, design, and a way to show off my jewelry and how to style it back to everything from jeans to gowns. My focus on the blog slowed down after getting pregnant with my first son and then soon after my second son as well.

In 2013, I started working at what was my dream job at the time. A brand manager and merchandiser for a few major brands (Vince Camuto, etc.) at Macy’s and Bloomingdales across central FL. I continued to make my jewelry and sell it at craft shows and farmer’s markets for many years. (And still, do to this day.) Unfortunately, last March, our positions as brand managers was eliminated due to Covid, just a few months before I was due with my second son. The good thing, it gave me more time to focus on my jewelry line! The last year has actually been a blessing in disguise and Styled with Stones has been a great outlet for my creative energy.

June 1st, 2021 is the launch date for my new and improved website that I cant wait to share. A fashion and lifestyle blog that will, of course, have a separate shop for my jewelry as well.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Having kids definitely slowed things down and made it harder to focus on my business. Of course, covid was a huge bump in the road.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I design, source and create jewelry out of 14kt gold plated chains, findings and natural gemstones. I’m known for my statement and layered necklaces. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve kept designing for the last 11 years, despite all of the ups and downs.
