Today we’d like to introduce you to Jatiece Miller.
Hi Jatiece, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a child, I was so fascinated with fashion and clothing designing at the age of five. I thought I would grow up to be the next fashion designer, not knowing I would actually go to school majoring in music. I received my bachelor’s in music and arts at Rollins College in 2016 and I have traveled singing background with recording artists. After teaching elementary music, I still felt that void of fashion wasn’t being filled. During the pandemic, I lost my job and didn’t know what would be next. I decided to pursue fashion with all that’s in me. I started a company, FaithxFashion, not knowing where it would take me. Now I have worked with so many people locally and have partnerships with amazing brands like Bealls Outlet. My story is still being written and I am excited for what the future holds as I continue to pursue my ultimate passion, Fashion!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was extremely difficult on this journey but worth it! I’ve struggled with anxiety, indecisiveness, spending money for things I didn’t know I never needed to start. I started out paying for a website, graphic designs, domains, the whole 9 yards, thinking that’s what I needed to start. I noticed it was such a waste of time and the hassle. All I needed was consistency and endurance. Also, taking it day by day and enjoying every moment, every level.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a few businesses, such as FaithxFashion, which is an agency who helps with personal shopping, creative directing for photography and videography, and wardrobe styling. I also have a business called Tiece’s Pieces, where I sell brand-new to pre-worn clothing and accessories at a very low price. I am known for my creative eye to be able to bring visions to life and for my fun personality on my YouTube channel called Tiece Tv! I am most proud of my originality and the accomplishments I’ve made thus far. I believe what sets me apart is myself. God created everyone unique and delights in every detail of our lives, so I believe that when God created me, I was born set apart, with His creative ability and talents. In everything I do, Jesus is the center. That’s my only answer for everything I do!
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I’ve learned a lot about how important it is to utilize the time you have. I had so much time on my hands sitting at home and so many opportunities to spend with the Lord, my family and being creative.
