Today we’d like to introduce you to Alante
Hi Alante, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hailing from Southeast DC, comes the funk filled “Dog Man Alante Tha Great”. With inspirations like Michael Jackson, DMX, and the sounds of his city’s signature music “gogo”. Alante cultivated his own sound and artistry. His music has always been different from the current trend of music. With that being said, Alante knew that it would be difficult for him to break through the mold. It’s pure resiliency and not caring about opinions that’s gotten him this far.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest struggle about this musical journey is the mental one. Feeling like you should be in a certain position, and fighting to obtain that position. Dealing with the realization that the people closest to you won’t be your biggest supporters, and despite that fact, it’s up to you to take the steps forward everyday.

Alante is a Hip Hop artist from Washington DC, known for his versatility in sounds and lyricism. He’s most proud of his determination and other’s appreciation for his music. With that came confusion in the process. For a while it became about the clout and traction being gained, which ultimately caused misery. Alante had to reconnect with his love for music through self reflection, realizing that the audience comes last in the process of creating music. Making the music that makes you feel good, is the key to it all, everything else will fall into place. That as well as the dancing, singing, rapping, and performances is what sets Alante apart from the competition.
