Hi Allyson , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi there! My name is Allyson Matthews, and I am a licensed Bridal and Special event hairstylist. Ive been in the Bridal business for about 7 years now, and have loved every minute of it! Having the opportunity to ensure all of my clients feel beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of their lives is something I will cherish forever! One of the many benefits of my career is, Ive developed many connections and friendships through out this journey, as it is something I am so grateful for. I look forward to continuing my career and meeting new clients in the future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes and no! Finding my groove and style through out my career was always a bit nerve wracking for me. Making sure that my clients are satisfied on such a big day, such as their wedding day, in the beginning of my career would give me major butterflies. With that being said, the bridal community has always been so supportive of me. It has shaped me into the stylist I am today. I have had many great mentors in my life who have paved the way for me and continue to do so!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a bridal and special event travel hairstylist who specializes in weddings, events and more! A lot of my colleagues would consider my style universal! Whether is be glam waves, Sleek styles and buns, or Boho coastal hairstyles, Im your gal!
What sets me a part from others is, i’m not afraid of a challenge!
What i’m most proud of is the longevity of my work. It lasts for the entirety of each event inquired about, and speaks for itself. I pour my love into each of my styles.
What sets me a part from others is, to me – you’re not just another client in my day. You are someone I respect, and cherish as you’ve helped and continue to help put food on my table. This is not just a hobby for me, it is my career and something I don’t take lightly. Any chance I have to better myself for the sake and experience of my future clientele, brings great importance and joy to me.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Making sure my clients are satisfied. Client satisfaction is what grows my business! Whatever I can do to excel in my clients relationship with myself, sets the standard for how any special event or wedding goes! I take pride in creating a good experience for each and all of my clients! This also goes for any vendors I work alongside with! Creating good relationships with other vendors helps me network and build my clientele.
