Amianadet, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been, making decorations for parties I will say since my own 15 birthday party. I study commercial flower shop, in PR and Star a small business there on 2010 I decide to move to Florida. My first job here was helping do flowers for a Wedding Planner. As the years go by, I finished my accounting degree, and put aside my dream. With the pandemic and a newborn at the house, we were struggling with what was the best option. I talk to my husband and we decide to open my dream box. With his support and help, I finally complete a full balloons course, and start making a small inventory. With our savings and hard work, we create AMC Party Creations on 2020 a family corporation. It’s amazing how we start getting small jobs and them been fully booked for the weekends even though we were still on the pandemic.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Unfortunately with the pandemic start, the Business was not a smooth road. The prices for the main materials for events as balloons, backdrops have been increasing a lot, the shipping cost has been increasing ridiculous and the gasoline. We were trying to find the breaking point to make sure provide to our customers with quality and affordable prices. Opening in the middle of the pandemic was a risk we took it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Creations and decorations have been my passion since young. I remember been doing croquis for my own 15 birthday and birthdays. I usually draw how I look. I want it to like them. Our work all the details the flowers, the centerpieces…. This is something I love. Then I took a commercial flower shop certification learned how to make natural and artificial flowers arrangements, how to make a wedding from zero. I fell more in love with this path, unfortunately, I moved to Florida from PR and the fact of not knowing the event system here put hold to my dream, even though I work flowers for a wedding planner company and learn more skills. In the meantime, I always create my children’s birthdays, my friends and church events. In 2020 I decide to step up, and with all the sad events around us, bring joy and happiness to others through my designs makes me realize this is what I want to keep doing. I took several balloons courses to complete my skills, and open A as AMC Party Creations. We do everything that you need to make your event, planning, subcontract vendors, paper crafts, personalize sings, balloons, pipes and drapes Etc. We offer packages with all included. For our customers, relax and don’t have to worry of anything more than enjoy it. I think what makes us different from other la is the details and dedication we put in every event. I love to make sure the customer understands the process, and be part of the design, I always ask – Do you have something in mind? How you visualize your party to be like, what style Etc. And create something for them… that they will be happy to see.
I’m proud of my reviews after every event I ask them what do you think? I always received kind and admiration words, that make me feel complete and rewarded.
What makes you happy?
I always love coming to an empty space and transforming it, seeing my customers smile and joy when they arrive to their events and see the final look.
Because make me realize I’m bringing happiness and joy to others, I’m making their memories unforgettable. I’m making their dreams come alive. That just makes me full.
