Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Lusky.
Hi Andrew, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Andrew Lusky, I’m a Tampa-based artist specializing in concrete and acrylic works. I was raised in Rock Falls, Illinois, where I developed an early fascination with construction and craftsmanship while I watched my father build homes. My upbringing instilled a deep appreciation for materials like concrete and metal, which now serve as the foundation for my work.
After childhood, I moved to Iowa to get my design degree from Iowa State University, then relocated to Tampa, where I worked as a brand artist for eBay, Power Design Inc., and Marriott Hotels. My background has always been in design, and now I’ve shifted my focus to motivational fine art.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My path has been about mental health, my art is an exploration of personal experiences and emotions, aiming to raise awareness of mental health and inspire others to pursue their passions before losing their sense of identity.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a storyteller and inventor who utilizes painting and sculpture to convey narratives. My work incorporates a variety of raw materials such as concrete, plaster, and mixed metals. This approach adds depth and creates a unique dimension, making each piece distinctly a Lusky creation.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always looking for new areas to display my work
