Check Out Andrew Sankovich’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Sankovich.

Hi Andrew, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started our journey as content creators for our multi platform channels On The Go Frenchies with first posting fun photos of our first French bulldog on instagram. His name was Obiwan the Frenchie his channel on instagram is still active. We named him that because of my love for Star Wars. Again it started as a fun thing to share my cute dog photos. I have been working in Orlando as a cinematographer/Director of Photography for the past 15 years and this was a chance for me to go back to the roots of my passion in photography and film making. Over the next couple years of posting on instagram the channel grew and we expanded to posting on YouTube, changed our brand name to be not tied to a specific pet we have at the time and we are finally monetizing our content and expanding to TikTok and more platforms. We officially started our LLC and we are moving to start making merchandising and pet products that align with our brand. It has been fun and difficult to start this my wife Emmie and I have been working together to keep content going as well as working our regular jobs easy said then done. We love our three French bulldogs Mimosa, Gizmo, and MoonPie so much and want to make sure we share their personalities and bring smiles to our audiences faces.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Some struggles along the way are losing our first frenchie Obiwan tragically too soon. He was attacked at a dog park by another dog and passed away at the emergency vet. We paused making content for some time after. It was extremely difficult to feel motivated to start again, but my wife has been a strong supporter to me and encouraged us to continue. Another difficult struggle is the feeling of burn out. It’s hard making content on a consistent schedule. We still struggle with it. We are working on getting on a more consistent posting schedule and becoming more organized with content strategy.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well we are dog/pet niche content creators. I have over 15 years of working with high end clients as a director of photography around Orlando and I try to bring that knowledge and experiences to our business and content creation. I’m most proud of the community we have built on our platforms. The response we get for certain videos or posts reassures us that we are bringing joy to others. I think what really sets us apart from other channels is my years of experience and also how we are authentic in our content. We are not trying to trick people with click bait we do want to share what we have learned and experienced with our dogs.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was an adventurous kid growing up. I grew up on a horse ranch in Ohio and I loved climbing trees taking things apart and seeing how they worked even though my parents were not happy about that when I would take apart something important. I grew up around a lot of animals and I think that is why I love my dogs so much. Also when we my friends in high school we would make films for the school announcements and this was before YouTube was a thing (No Facebook yet either) and I think that passion was the start of my move into content creation as a career.
