Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Irvin. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Becca has been a practicing witch and pagan for many years. This store has been Becca’s dream for over a decade. She thought she would have to wait until old age, but when her mom Sunnie retired from teaching she told Becca that they should go for it. Becca knew the metaphysical end of it and Sunnie would help where she could and learn in the journey. They both wanted to provide a safe space for anyone no matter what path they were on or what belief system they had. Becca did not have that for herself. May 8, 2021 B Charmed opened. March 12, 2022 was a reopening with an additional room. Nearly every display and fixture was thrifted or found and given new life which not only saved the duo money, but is good for the planet. Customers can feel good about shopping at B Charmed because the items are ethically sourced. Local artists, Sunnie being one, artisans and authors are featured in the shop. Becca and Sunnie host weekly events where all kinds of people novice and experienced or curious and set in their path can attend. The store is growing, but the most important growth is the accepting community that has come together in the space of its walls. It’s a beautiful journey.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The first struggle was having no experience with owning a retail store. There are so many things to have in place before finding the space. After finding the space there are permits, licensing, deposits and inspections. Advertising has its own challenges. The monthly operating expenses can be staggering. There are so many things that you don’t anticipate like a website being developed or the cost of bags for items purchased. Our store is a different kind of shop. It isn’t full of common items. One of the biggest challenges was being sure to have ethically sourced crystals. We needed companies that truly monitored the mines, the worker conditions and replanted native vegetation. That means we cannot always guarantee that we have an abundant supply of crystals as we only get them from three companies with different international locations. Our store is full of other items besides crystals, though.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
It’s passion hands down. We are so passionate about witchcraft, the metaphysical world, community, world and social issues, helping our planet, and being a safe space for EVERYONE on their journey. We are no experts or teachers. We just want to be able to be around the things we love and hopefully be there for others on their journey too.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Really just checking us out either on social media or in store. If their is something in particular someone needs, we will do our best to get it. Our weekly events are really fun and a great learning experience as well.

I felt an instant connection with Becca the very first time I stepped in the store. My daughter felt the same way about Sunnie. We now have a new family that is not only loving, caring, kind, supportive, inspirational and educational, but is there for you, in a safe environment. They have brought many different souls together in a short time, creating our new haven. We are beyond blessed to have found them and grateful to the Universe for uniting us.
