Check Out Bee Spectre’s Story
Today we’d like to introduce you to Bee Spectre.
Hi Bee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hey, my name is Bee, I’m 27 and I grew up as a military kid, going from place to place and meeting so many interesting people. I was always very a social and artistic kid who enjoyed connecting with people in general. Social Media has always been a comfort for me since I never had real roots but the third spaces online made me feel at home. I learned that people were making a living through some of these spaces so I started on Tiktok during Covid. I didn’t really think too much of it until I had my first “viral” video moment. I originally made cosplay and Star Wars content because that is what I was into at the time and I began to meet people as well as my partner (who is also a content creator) through this art of expression.
I moved to Orlando to be with my partner and it allowed me to be close to them and also my interests. Disney, Star Wars. Marvel, and more.
I am an artist at heart and I started to work at a tattoo shop nearby. The creatives there helped open the door to art for me again and I’ve been pursuing the dream of becoming a tattoo artist for a while now. This new dream also led me to start taking content creation more seriously too.
This past year, I have put a lot of heart and soul into my content projects and I hope that someday they will lead me to something bigger like being invited to host a show on SNL. One of my idols,Trisha Paytas showed the world that an influencer/content creator can really go far and chase their dreams whatever it may be and I aspire to be like her.
Through my content and art I would love to create a community of people who all want to follow their dreams and to feel like their dreams are achievable through consistency and hard work.
Without community or people to push you and encourage you, the dreams are tough to reach on your own, so I just wanted to thank my partner Alex for always being that person for me to push me to reach for the stars. I love you so much! Alex is my biggest supporter and always helps me with the behind the scenes stuff like taking my photos or helping me with making videos and I couldn’t be more grateful because they have a busy schedule too as a gaming content creator. So HUGE thank you to my partner.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been wild. There has been nothing smooth about how I got to where I am today and at times I still feel like I’m still going on that wild ride but aren’t we all? Coming out was a rough thing, but lead me to my true self and to a happier self. I had a few opportunities for tattoo apprenticeships but ultimately the time and energy put into those things didn’t quite pan out. However, I did learn a lot about patience and knowing when something is good for me or not.
And of course when it rains, often times it pours and my health took a turn but it hasn’t stopped me from doing the things I want to accomplish, it just takes me a little longer. In the moment I would have said I was dealt the worst deck of cards possible, but looking back at everything, I am grateful that certain things fell through and that I didn’t continue down certain paths otherwise it would have ended up far worse. These “failures” have ultimately saved me from a lot of pain so I am thankful. I’m also thankful for my partner and that while we both had to go down this road together, we came out of it on top.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an artist and a content creator. I sell my stickers on Etsy and will often times take commissions as well on my Instagram page. What sets me apart from other artists who make stickers or do commissions is that I have background and knowledge of tattoo design. A mentor of mine taught me what makes or breaks an artist is in the design and a lot of his teachings have helped develop my style to give me an edge over what other artists may be doing.
As a content creator I make content about the theme parks here in Florida and I have been also vlogging about my weight loss journey. A lot of people can relate to needing to work on their health but thinking that the usual stuff is boring. So I take my viewers on ‘hot girl walks’ so that we can lose weight in a fun exciting way together.
I am most proud of my work ethic and of my relationship. I feel like without drive and the determination I have, on top of having Alex’s support, I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am now.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I think something surprising to most people who didn’t know me personally, would be that I am a huge theatre geek and music geek. I LOVE broadway and musicals (Wicked is one of my favorites). I did a few plays and musicals when I was younger and the feeling of being on stage is something I really love. The feeling of a lot of people coming together to create a big work of art is a feeling that can’t really be described. Music is in my blood. I cannot go a day without it and I was also in band when I was in school too. I loved learning music theory and why certain notes evoke certain feelings. It’s such a fascinating science to me. Once upon a time I learned a thing or two about producing music and I hope to pick it up again at some point.
