Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Aris
Hi Brandon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been attracted to music from an early age. I would sing along to all of the songs on the radio and write poems for school assignments. It didn’t go beyond that until 2015 when my brother Tony Rozaye invited me to record a hook for him that I started producing my own music. I’m heavily inspired sonically by artists a boogie, Roddy Ricch, rod wave, and Tory Lanez. Penmanship wise I’m inspired by MCs J Cole, Eminem, and Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover. In 2020 I went viral on tiktok for getting cheated on, a bunch of my music and skits and from there the ball has been rolling
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road when you’re genuinely chasing your dreams, but one thing you always have to remember is enjoy the journey! From scammers, to terrible promoters to signing and being dropped by a label that didn’t have a clear grasp on the music industry I’ve been through a lot. Though I’ve been though things I’m still motivated and determined to keep pushing toward success
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an artist and what I’m most proud of is my tenacity. I’ve had multiple ups and downs in my career to where I’ve had record labels and industry artists in my email speaking highly of me. To then having dry spells that lasted months of none of that validation. I guess what sets me apart is that I genuinely care about my career and path so regardless of where I am at any point in destined for greatness and success
