Check Out Brian Lansangan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Lansangan.

Brian Lansangan

Hi Brian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was introduced to photography when attending comic/anime conventions such as Megacon and Supercon in Miami. It began with a few photos here and there with my first camera. (Canon Rebel t3i) From there, my interest in photography spiked up. Along the way, I was asked to do some edits on the photos, and I looked at tutorials on YouTube, asked questions, and learned from fellow photographers. After almost 10 years of photography, I want to grow and expand my knowledge and experience.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Smooth road? It was more like a wooden roller coaster with the occasional ups and downs, From learning new editing skills while shooting my first wedding to networking and building my portfolio. But without those bumps in the road, I wouldn’t be the experienced photographer I am today.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a self-taught photographer specializing in Cosplay Photography, Alternative Fashion, Portraits, Modeling, and Portfolio Building. I offer a photography service that specializes in portrait and portfolio photography in the South Florida area and Central Florida areas. I don’t look at myself as a photographer but as a fun-loving artist. The centerpiece of all my photoshoots can be traced back to one simple word: Imagination. Drawing heavily upon such personal inspiration from many amazing and talented photographers, Ryan Sims Photography, The Portrait Dude, and Jeff Jenkins Photography. I am most proud of how far my creative level has gone up these past few years, and I want to focus more this year, become more efficient, and grow my clientele. What sets me apart from other cosplay photographers is that I strive to craft an image with which the viewer, model, or cosplayer can connect on a more expressive level. With that mindset, I set out to create an everlasting memory that captures both a moment in time and the essence of the subject involved in the most entertaining way possible.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
A photographer’s success can be defined by artistic fulfillment, client satisfaction, financial stability, and industry recognition. It involves consistently producing high-quality work, building a strong client base, staying updated on current trends, and achieving personal and career goals.
