Check Out Briana Strong’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Strong

Briana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always had a passion for worship dance. I can remember on Saturday Mornings as a little girl, my mother playing gospel music throughout the house. While cleaning, she would take my hand as well as my sister’s and twirl us in circles. Who would have thought what a couple of twirls would turn out to be today. (A powerhouse in the kingdom of God!) The first time I ministered in front of the church congregation, I was only about 8 years old. By the age of 10 I choreographed my first piece for 5 other children and we ministered that piece on Resurrection Sunday.

I’ve ministered at school talent shows and end of the year programs, I’ve worshipped at many church functions/conferences throughout Massachusetts. I had the honor of ministering through dance at weddings, as well as funerals.

When God has called you to do something, there’s no running and there’s no hiding. God has given me this gift of dance to encourage, uplift, and restore individuals. Through the power of God, my dance breaks strongholds and bondages.

The purpose is always greater than I am. If people are able to give their lives to Christ through my ministration, my job is done. I now have an online platform where I post snippets of my worship right from my own home, reaching and touching people from all over the world. I also offer and instruct virtual liturgical dance sessions.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A struggle that I faced was that many people would inquire and want to sign up for my dance sessions. When it was time for the sessions to start, those same people were nowhere to be found. It was a bit discouraging at first. I then realized that the individuals who are showing up and are present, are the ones who are supposed to be in attendance.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When I am not creating content or instructing dance class, I am coaching. I am a Certified Christian Life Coach for women. I encourage women to embrace their true identity and worth in Christ. Working with women to empower them to become who God has called them to be.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned along my journey is to put God first and allow Him to lead everything I do. God is the reason why I’m able to do what I do in the capacity that I do it in. I’m not operating off of my own strength.
