Check Out Brittany Hamilton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Hamilton.

Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For the longest time, I wanted to own my own business and thought about what options I had along with what interested me. I had a lot of interests in accessories, entrepreneurship, and having something to pass down to my children. Towards the end of 2020, I found out I would be having my first child, and everything begin to fall into place. I decided to start a business named after my first child and began selling handbags. Over time, my business grew from handbags to clothing and shoes. I believe my drive to succeed and eye for fashion led me to the success I have had up to this point.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road was not smooth at first, as I had to find suppliers with quality items that I thought I could resale and then figure out how to get those items to my customers quickly after waiting several weeks for the items to arrive. Determining how to get my name and items out to the masses was also a challenge.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I primarily look at different accessories, clothing, and shoes from my various suppliers. I then select items that usually aren’t easily purchased or accessible through conventional means and are usually rarely seen on the various scenes and settings I am in. For example, if I decide to purchase a handbag for resale, the bag usually isn’t found at stores in my immediate area, and as such the end purchaser of the bag doesn’t have to worry about seeing too many people with that same item at events around town. One of the things that sets me apart from others is the fact that while running my business, I continue to be a full-time mom and law school student, which happens to be two accomplishments that I am proud of; being a business owner is the third.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Many people would be surprised to learn that I am a full-time law student, single mother, substitute teacher, and business owner. I wear many hats, and while it can be overwhelming at times, it is my determination to be successful that drives me. There are days where I want to give up on entrepreneurship because it’s challenging, but my daughter motivates me to keep going. Also, being able to share my story and hopefully inspire others is another great reason to continue pushing forward. Ultimately, I hope to attain generational wealth for my family.

Also, I’m currently having a huge sale; all outfits are $25 and under, so feel free to visit the link (www.eastonsclosetexchange.com) and support. Thank you!
